Ghostly Photos....Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  Hope you are ready for a day full of tricks and treats!

We thought we'd pull up a post from our archives where I created some ghost photos.  Making them was super easy!  You just need Photoshop or Photoshop Elements and some basic knowledge of layering photos.

Similar to creating the levitation photos, you will first want to take a picture of your background without your subject in it.  Using a tripod is very helpful, because your next step will be to have your subjects enter the scene for the next image.

Next have your subjects enter the scene and snap a photo.......

Now using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, you will layer the images one on top of the other and adjust the opacity.  Note lining the images up can be a bit tricky and this would have been easier in my images above, if I did not have such a busy background.  But hopefully, you get the gist. :)  Adjusting the color to black and white, helps add to the spooky effect.

Here is another example where I took a silhouette photo and after making a duplicate layer, I used a gaussian blur filter to blur out the subjects creating another eerie effect.

So go out and have some fun creating some spooky photos of your own!
